Meet Sarah

Sarah spent most of her childhood in the glorious Somerset countryside, she is a qualified Play Therapist turned author – using her many experiences working with families to provide the inspiration for her books.  Originally Sarah worked for a bank but realised that office work was really not her thing, resigned and spent a few years in France au pairing in St Tropez & then becoming a Nanny just outside of Paris. It was these wonderful experiences where her passion for working with children was born.

Book Dedication

I dedicate my very first book to my Mum! She was the inspiration behind this first story and indeed much of my life, and is represented in the book by the robin, as her favourite bird.

Beautiful Illustrations

I am so glad that I found Chantal through the Business Women in Wiltshire group of which I am a member. Somehow she managed to get what was in my head on paper and the illustrations really bring the book to life. Chantal also created the animation. Thank you Chantal.

Stories With Emotion

Having worked to promote the self-esteem of children for almost two decades,  my stories are all about emotion. The next is about the words we associate with a bereavement or death  Baby Bear and the Day His World Changed was published in May 2024.

About

Sharing the Magic of Books

Sarah is passionate about the emotional wellbeing of children & has even spoken at The Houses of Parliament on this subject.  This is the theme she shares in all her work whether that be  with parents, or professionals and volunteers, and through her stories. The stories are all ‘therapeutic’ that means they touch on emotional situations that children experience & Owl helps the characters to resolve their concerns. The books are fully inclusive.

Sarah is also passionate about the natural world, has two sons and now lives in Wiltshire with her husband.

How do I feel about the business?

I am so proud and humbled to have spent so long promoting the self-esteem of our children, after all “I believe the children are our future” declared Whitney Houston. I agree wholeheartedly. Whether it be through working directly with families, running online courses, producing podcasts, writing books and being the lead for the Child Mental Health Charter,  self-esteem and children’s mental health is in my veins and I will continue to do all I can to support it.
